A load-power-sets-average-input-current scan treats average input current as a power-budget consequence, not an instantaneous switch waveform. The 3 V output, 2 A load, 6 W output power, and 1/2 A average input current are exact only for the stated ideal lossless buck rows. Real converters include switching loss, MOSFET or diode drops, ESR, ripple, current-limit behavior, thermal limits, finite precision, and measurement uncertainty.
Ideal converter input current comes from a closed power budget. Exact arithmetic here means exact results for the stated model inputs; measured inputs still carry uncertainty and significant-figure limits.

The power ledger starts at the output load
The buck average voltage is already accepted. The load current then sets output power and ideal average input current.
Pout=VoutIout;Iin(avg)=VinPout
More load current asks for more input average current
The voltage conversion stays fixed. Output current changes power, then power sets the ideal input average current.
